Lenten Season is a 40 day journey of preparation for the celebration of Easter.  The theme of our observance is The Last Journey. We will retrace part of Jesus' last journey to Jerusalem.  Easter observance will be April 22 this year.  You are invited to join our journey to Easter, led by Pastor David Medley. 

Ash Wednesday service will be Feb. 22 at 6 PM.

Our Communion offering on Feb. 5, will be divided between our apportionments and Aldersgate Ministry for young adults with special needs.  This ministry was created by Methodist Men 20 years ago and is located in Brownwood, TX. 

Family night will be Feb. 11 from 5-7 PM at the church.  The project will be making Valentines for our shut-in members.

MOSS is Feb. 15 at 11:30 AM at the church.  We will enjoy a meal and entertainment by the musical talent of our own Jim Pitts.

Update on the water well for Haaiti: We reached out goal of $3000. The money was presented to Rev. Jimmy Dorrell at our service on Dec. 18th. Thanks to all for their donations.  Rev. Dorrell will notify us of the progress with the well.

Pastor's Bible Study
is on Thursday mornings at 10:30 AM.  This is an ongoing study and may be joined at anytime.  We are using the Journey Through the Bible as a guide to a more in-depth study tought by Pastor David Medley.

Lake Shore provides a food pantry to help out those in need. All non-perishable food items are appreciated, however, the items most helpful are Peanut Butter, Macaroni and Cheese, Cereal (particularly Oatmeal), Canned Vegetables, Canned Meats, Canned Milk, Rice, Dry Beans, Pasta, Tea and Juice, Canned Fruit, Canned Soup, Spaghetti Sauce.

The church offers a recycling bin for all who do not have carts at home. You are invited to bring your paper, newspaper, cardboard boxes, plastic bottles, and aluminium cans and put them in the blue container outside the back door. We now have recycling for used ink cartridges and used cell phones as well.
