WORSHIP
Sundays at 10:30 a.m. we offer praise and thanks to God for blessings. We read and
reflect on lessons from the Bible with straightforward preaching that is relevant
to life in today's world. We respond with prayers for others and ourselves. Then
we are sent into the world to do our best to live out what we have learned,
celebrating and sharing what God is doing in our lives.

Sunday School - Adults
All classes begin at 9:15 a.m.
The adult Sunday School, Friendship Class, uses various resources and rotates
teachers. It is an interactive class for those who seek to learn the Scriptures
and grow in the Christian faith.

Sunday School - Children
All classes begin at 9:15 a.m.
For children ages 4 and up, we offer a mixed age Sunday School class. The
children's class and older nursery children gather for singing in the Fellowship
Hall, then move to their newly renovated room for their Bible lesson.

Nursery
A competent, loving nursery worker looks forward to caring for your babies
and preschool age child(ren) during Sunday School. Children are welcome in
our worship service, but we also provide a nursery for those individuals
who would like to leave their children in that nurturing environment.

Holy Communion
Holy Communion is celebrated during worship on the first Sunday of each
month. It is open to any person who follows Jesus Christ. You do not
have to be a member of Lake Shore to receive it.

|
Fellowship Meals
On the last Sunday of Feb, Apr, June, and August we have pot luck meals
following morning worship. Everyone in church is invited to join us
even if you don't bring a dish. We always have plenty of food and fellowship.

Bible Study
Join us at Lake Shore on Thursdays at 11 A.M. for Bible Study. This is a time to read the Bible and share
with other members of our Christian Family.

|
Choir
Choir meets Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. No musical training is required,
only a love of singing and a love of the Lord. The choir sings a
variety of styles of music.

United Methodist Women (UMW)
UMW meets at 2:00 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month. The UMW is a community of women whose purpose
is to know God and to experience freedom through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship
and to participate in the global ministries of the church.

Make Our Seniors Special (M.O.S.S.)
At 11:30 a.m. on the third Wednesday of each month we offer a home-cooked meal and program for Senior Citizens.
After the meal, we usually have an informative guest speaker.

Children's Ministry
In addition to Sunday School and the nursery, we have several other ministries for children. A children's
message is shared by the pastor during worship each Sunday. Family night is a monthly ministry of this congregation
which provides a fun and safe environment for children. Activities include a snack supper, arts and crafts, videos
and other activities for children, their parents, and other adults who are children at heart. Vacation Bible School
is offered yearly during the summer months.

Fellowship Breakfast
Everyone is invited to a breakfast at 8:00 a.m. on the last Saturday of the month in January, March, May,
September and the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Guest speakers share information on a variety of subjects
during these breakfasts.

Short-Term Studies
Short-term studies are offered several times a year, usually on Sunday evenings.
